In 2009 Janet Bester acquired her B.Tech degree (Clinical Technology, Neurophysiology) Cum Laude at TUT University. She gained experience in her field at Steve Biko Hospital and worked at JB Smith Neurophysiologist from 2008 – 2011. In 2012 Janet furthered her studies in Sweden, where she obtained a Diploma in EMG & Neurography at Uppsala University. On her return home, she opened private practices in the Vaal Triangle, Secunda and Heidelberg.
Christie Kane (KTG 0018708) obtained her B.Tech (Clinical Technology, Neurophysiology) at the Thwane University of Technology in 2017. She gained work experience at JB Smith Neurophysiologist. Since 2016 she’s been working alongside Janet Bester in private practice.
What we do
The Neuro and Sleep diagnostic Lab opened its doors in 2012 in the Vaal Triangle (Vereeniging), extending branches to Heidelberg and Secunda soon after. All three branches are equipped with the latest, advanced technology, led by Clinical Neurophysiologist Janet Bester. In 2016 Neurophysiologist Chrisrie Kane joined private practice and since then, worked side by side with Janet Bester. Both registered at HPCSA.
Our team is dedicated in providing high quality, compassionate healthcare by performing neurodiagnostic procedures for specialists such as neurosurgeons, orthopaedic surgeons, cardiologists, pulmonologists, internal medicine physicians, paediatricians and family practice.
Neurodiagnostic studies are performed to diagnose various neurological conditions and disorders of the peripheral and central nervous system.
During the last 10 years, Janet Bester assisted various medical specialists throughout Gauteng in achieving accurate diagnoses in order to achieve optimal recovery.
